About the Journal

The Ethiopian Journal of Education (EJE) is one of the reputable journals published in the area of education. It is among the few pioneers in the publication of educational articles at least to the recent time.  Its long standing and uninterrupted history in the publication of scientific articles in Education and Humanities dates back to the 1960s. A retrospective glance from the time of its inception to the present shows that the Journal has passed through series of stages to reach the point of reputation.

The aim of the Journal is to provide access for research publications to a broad national and international readership including researchers, practitioners and students in education and related fields. It is also expected that EJE identifies cardinal educational issues of the nation and suggests solutions that would help policy formulations and evaluations.

EJE publishes original empirical studies, literature reviews, theoretical articles, methodological articles, book reviews, dissertation and thesis  abstracts, synopsis of major research, short communications, commentaries(comments on articles published in the Journal), and other relevant issues in the area of education.
