Abstract

The nature and distribution of gratification patterns (GP) and several related variables were studied in Central Ethiopia. It was hypothesized that white - collar workers, blue-collar workers, more educated persons, older persons, and women would prefer delayed gratification more than peasants and blue-collar orkers, peasants,Less educated persons, younger persons, and men, respectively .Also, positive relationships were predicted between GP, individual modernity (OM) ,and future time orientation (PTa) .
